How company formation works
Once the file is complete, the order moves through four steps: details, documents, licence issue, then the visa if the package includes one.
Details
Choose the number of visas and the final price that goes with it.
Licence
A complete file is usually processed with SRTIP in about 7–10 working days. That window is for the licence. It is not a fixed date.
Visa
If the package includes one, this stage starts after the licence: an entry permit or a status change, the medical test, the Emirates ID, and the establishment card. Appointments follow the authority. The no-visa package is complete when the licence is issued.
Two stages
The licence and the residence file do not share one clock.
1. Licence
After the file is complete, SRTIP commonly takes about 7–10 working days to issue the licence. A package with no visa ends here, together with the 800 number and the bank file.
2. Residence file
A visa package continues after the licence. The order is the entry permit or a status change, the medical test, the Emirates ID, and the establishment card. The time follows the authority’s appointments.
Already in the UAE, or still abroad
If you are outside the UAE, the visa starts with an entry permit. You then enter for the medical test and the Emirates ID.
If you are already in the UAE, the visa can move by a status change from the visa you hold, when the rules allow that change. A copy of the current visa joins the file. The document list is on the documents page.
What you receive
- The SRTIP licence.
- The memorandum and the owner resolutions.
- A UAE 800 number for one year, for receiving calls.
- A UAE mobile number for WhatsApp.
- The corporate bank-account file. The bank makes the decision on the account.
- When the package includes a visa: the establishment card, and the visa and Emirates ID when the authority issues them.
Common questions
Do the services differ between packages?
The services are the same in all four packages. The only difference is the number of residence visas.
What if I need more than five activities?
It is priced on request. Details are on Activities.
Is renewal included in the formation price?
No. The formation price is for the first year. The renewal figure is on the renewal page.
What are the first documents?
Passport, photo, activity and owner details. The list is on the documents page.
How long does the licence take?
A complete file is usually with SRTIP for about 7–10 working days. That is the licence stage. A visa, the medical test and the Emirates ID come after it, on the authority’s timetable.
I am already in the UAE. Does that change the visa?
The licence stage is the same. The visa then uses a status change from the visa you hold, when the rules allow it. If you are outside the UAE, the visa starts with an entry permit.
